  • KREW Camp 2024 in Den Helder, Netherlands, was a truly unforgettable experience! 🌟 From June 21-28, 30 children from six different countries came together for a week filled with fun, learning, and cultural exchange. We had an action-packed schedule that included swimming, visiting the Maritime Museum (complete with a submarine tour), cycling around the beautiful city of Den Helder, and playing mini-golf. 🚴♀️🏊♂️⚓️ What makes KREW Camp so special is the inclusive and supportive environment we create. This year, we were proud to accommodate a child undergoing dialysis, ensuring that everyone could fully participate and enjoy the camp. Each evening, we celebrated a different country’s culture, which not only entertained us but also taught us about each other's traditions, fostering a spirit of unity and understanding among the participants. 🌍❤️ One of the most important aspects of KREW Camp is the opportunity for adolescents with kidney disease to meet others who are going through similar experiences. These connections are invaluable, as they empower the teenagers by showing them they are not alone in their journey. Through shared experiences and mutual support, these children gain confidence and build lasting friendships. 🤝💪 Our exceptional accommodation provided the perfect base for our adventures, and the incredible weather allowed us to maximize our outdoor activities. ☀️ We couldn’t have achieved this without the cooperation of Nierpatiënten Vereniging Nederland and the generous support of our Premium Sponsors. We’re committed to continuing this tradition, providing a space where children with kidney disease can create lasting memories and forge new friendships. Here’s to many more incredible KREW Camps in the future! 🏕️ Premium Sponsors Astellas Pharma AstraZeneca Alnylam Pharmaceuticals CSL Vifor Novartis Official Sponsors Diaverum Boehringer Ingelheim Takeda
