The Dolphins esports club at California State University, Channel Islands was meeting in improvised quarters that really cramped their gaming style. A student-driven initiative led to the recent opening of a purpose-built esports lounge equipped with sophisticated computer, network, and audiovisual technology that allows the club to compete in intercollegiate esports league tournaments. CSUCI's IT team and esports team members turned the esports lounge vision into reality with design-build assistance from pro integrator EKC Enterprises, Inc. of Fresno, California.
