Yesterday, Stephen Nedoroscik clinched the bronze medal for #TeamUSA at the #Olympics in Paris. Four years ago, in 2020, we talked to Stephen when he was still a senior on Penn State University's gymnastics team. He told us about his Olympic dreams and what went through his mind when COVID-19 shattered those dreams that year. It was really cool to revisit his old story and see him not only check the Olympics off of his bucket list but win a bronze medal — the first medal for men's gymnastics since 2008. Congratulations, Stephen! 🥉 In case you want to read it, too, here is the link. 📝 https://lnkd.in/gXJWPYBe

Had an absolute blast at our first Business of Small College Athletics conference in Oklahoma City. So many refreshing conversations with athletic directors and administrators who truly care about their athletes, department, staff, and community. Major shoutout to Jim Abbott and his team for putting on this amazing event. Already excited for #BOSCA25. Thank you for having us.

Very excited to announce our partnership with the American Rivers Conference, our first DIII conference partnership. "One of the main reasons we started FanWord was to give more athletes a voice to tell their stories. There are so many powerful, untold stories at the smaller college level, and we always wanted to be a resource that would help athletic departments and conferences share those stories." 💬 Christopher Aumueller Read more about the partnership 👇

Had a great time at my third NIL Summit last week in Atlanta at the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame . (Shoutout to Student Athlete NIL & Teamworks Influencer for once again putting on an amazing event 🙏 ) A lot of moving pieces in the #NIL space right now. But let's not forget the constants, either. ✅ Student-athletes are still crushing it. ✅ Administrators are still working hard to build the best solutions. ✅ Companies are still innovating to help schools and athletes maximize NIL success. Oh, and the "Wild Wild West" analogy is a constant, too, I guess. 🤣 Happy birthday, NIL! Let's make year four the best one yet. #fanword #nameimagelikeness #ncaa #studentathletes

One of my favorite things from #CSCUnite24 this year was this 👇 At our booth, we added a little "studio" section where SIDs and communication professionals could sit down with one of our team members and actually share 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 story with us. 🎙 Most of the time, they are the ones interviewing athletes, coaches, etc. So, we got them to experience first-hand how FanWord works by simply switching roles for a few minutes. It was incredibly awesome to learn more about their journeys, why they got into this industry, what drives them, etc. Thank you to everyone who stopped by. 🙌

"As strange as it is to say at times, I am grateful for the injury, as it led me to where I am now. It allowed me to flourish into the person I am today and am continuously becoming. If it wasn’t for my injury, I may not have taken the leap to start C4C. I never would’ve visited LSU — the place that truly allowed me to thrive as an individual and turned me into the absolute happiest version of myself. And lastly, I definitely wouldn’t be writing this story as a national champion." 💬Savannah Schoenherr 📝 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗿 - 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗜'𝗺 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗼 𝗕𝗲 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gVt24Nmr #fanword #ncaa #nil #nameimagelikeness #studentathlete #lsu #lsutigers

Annnnd that's a wrap! Had an amazing time at the NACDA & College Sports Communicators Convention. Really enjoyed presenting, speaking, and (re)connecting with friends and colleagues in the industry. A few special shoutouts. 🙏 Thank you to Erik Christianson, Barb Kowal, Will Roleson, Beau White, and the rest of the #CSC team for putting this all together. We loved being a partner this year and can't wait to collaborate on more initiatives. 🤝 Thank you to Tony Neely, Chris Dion, Adam Kuffner, and Brian Orefice for having me on the "How sports communicators win in 2024: Telling the student-athlete stories more effectively" panel. Had a blast with you all. 🎤 Thank you to Christopher C. for inviting me to present on "How to amplify your storytelling" to the 35+ Canadian college sports communicators at the conference. 🖥️ --- If I missed you in Vegas, and you want to connect, don't hesitate to reach out. ✉ Next stop: #NILSummit in Atlanta. #fanword #cscunite24 #storytelling
