Fast Company is proud to announce our fifth annual Queer 50 list, featuring a lineup of some of the most influential LGBTQ leaders in business, tech, and beyond. After a challenging year of anti-queer legislation and rhetoric, Queer 50 is a celebration of LGBTQ representation and influence. Honorees include those working on addressing responsible AI, trans rights, healthcare, and the future of work. Instead of ranking this year’s list, we chose to dive deeper into the accomplishments of 10 honorees: read stories about Roberta Kaplan, the attorney who represented E. Jean Carroll in her fight against Trump, and Jen Wong, the COO who helped take Reddit public. We’ve also considered all members of the LGBTQ community this year while still prioritizing the inclusion of historically marginalized gender identities. Are we doomed? Are we saved? So much of the narrative around the rise of AI has been quick to evoke collective fear. The truth, as always, is somewhere in the middle. “AI will not save us, but neither will it destroy us—its fate lies in our choices" Expanding on the ARC theory with Fast Company, i'm focusing on this paradoxical new challenge for leaders—prepare for inevitable transformation while facing public fear, and at the same time envision new opportunities in the creation phase. Keeping a bigger-picture view is key. When we maintain a strategic approach, amplify the optimism and proactively mitigate the challenges involved, we can create enduring value. In the end, all technology, including AI, must improve the human condition. #AI #Technology #FutureOfWork #Innovation #JobMarket #ArtificialIntelligence #TechTrends #Strategy #Leadership Extreme Networks Office of the CTO at Extreme Networks Markus Nispel Cristian Mircea Dan DeBacker Carla Guzzetti Monica Kumar Amy Aylward Blair Donald 🌈 Jeff Benanto Carolina Bessega
