"One of the worst days in America's history saw some of the bravest acts in Americans' history. We'll always honor the heroes of 9/11." Remembering the heroes who risked everything on 9/11. Their bravery will never be forgotten. #NeverForget

We had an amazing time joining the Family & Children's Association at the Senior H.O.P.E. Fair at Samanea NY Mall in Westbury, celebrating Happiness, Opportunity, and Positive Energy for older adults and their families! The men and women supported by AHRC Nassau are always ready to lend a helping hand, and one of their favorite volunteer activities is shopping for seniors. 🛒 It’s not just about the groceries—it’s about being needed, building connections, and making someone’s life better through an everyday action many of us take for granted. We were thrilled to have Assemblymember Edward Ra stop by our table and thank our shoppers and staff for the important role they play in helping local seniors. Let the shopping begin!

I want to take a moment to highlight the Family and Children's Association (FCA), www.fcali.org an organization doing amazing work for 10,000+ seniors a year as well as families across Long Island. As a leading nonprofit, FCA provides crucial services that help older adults maintain their independence, health, and well-being. From mental health support to substance use services, FCA is there when older adults need them most. Today, our Wisdom.io team (with Dawn Newsome Patricia Leitch is joining FCA and other incredible organizations at the Senior H.O.P.E. (Happiness, Opportunity, Positive Energy) Fair. This event offers a valuable opportunity for older adults and their families to access important resources and educational workshops designed to support healthy, independent living. We are off to a great start today! Thank you Paige O’Brien, Lisa Stern, LCSW-R and the entire FCA team for hosting this wonderful event. Highlights of the Workshops: 🏥 Medicare & More: Gain insights on Medicare eligibility, coverage options, and how to fill gaps in health insurance. 💡 Scam Prevention & Elder Abuse: Learn how to protect yourself from scams, recognize financial exploitation, and understand how to seek help for elder abuse. 🤝 Caring for the Caregiver: Get support and resources for caregivers, with a focus on Alzheimer's and dementia care. 🧠 A Healthy Mind and Body as We Age: Explore strategies for maintaining mental health and managing life’s challenges as we age. This event is designed to empower older adults with the knowledge and tools they need to navigate critical aspects of aging, from healthcare to personal safety. Wisdom is proud to be part of this important effort, demonstrating how our smart home care system can help older adults age in place with confidence and peace of mind.
