We were honored to be part of the St. Luke's Methodist Church community, showing how Oklahoma City and beyond can #StandUpToJewishHate. Thank you, Pastor Bob Long and the entire St. Luke's congregation, for being such strong allies as we continue the work to stand up to all hate. #🟦

UNCF honored to host a powerful conversation at our UNITE conference this week, moderated by Dr. Monique Guillory, Interim President of Dillard University. Joining her were John Eaves, Ph.D., Founder of Black and Jewish Leaders of Tomorrow, and Tara Levine, President of the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism. The panel explored critical work happening on HBCU campuses in partnership with Hillel International. By bringing together Black and Jewish students, these initiatives aim to foster understanding and unity in the face of rising hate. Students need safe spaces to engage in open dialogue and develop empathy for diverse perspectives. As tribalism grows, it’s essential to build bridges and promote understanding. As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. famously said, "We must learn to live together as brothers and sisters or perish together as fools." This spirit of unity is crucial to healing our nation and world. #UNCF80 #Upstanders #StandUpToHate #UnityMatters

Yeshiva University, the nation’s flagship Jewish University, today announced the establishment of the Blue Square Scholars program by leading philanthropist Robert Kraft. This new program is timely as it will help the University accommodate transferring students who are switching to YU for its quality education and nurturing campus atmosphere. In the aftermath of October 7th, YU has been at the forefront of universities fighting the rise of antisemitism on college campuses across the country and has opened its doors to transfer students who feel unsafe on their current campuses. The Foundation to Combat Antisemitism founded by Robert Kraft has been a leader in the public battle to fight Jewish hate and all hate. The Foundation’s Blue Square has served as a symbol for unity and its message has spread throughout the world, promoting positive connections of mutual respect among diverse communities. FCAS President Tara Levine recently spoke with Boston Globe Media about the work of the Foundation, specifically advertising. In recent weeks, FCAS has taken out a full-page ad in 12 major US newspapers, in which Founder Robert Kraft wrote about his concerns of antisemitism at many colleges. FCAS also ran a TV ad, “Don’t bring hate to the protests,” during NBA playoff games. “Sports are a really important place where people still come together,” Levine said. “That’s why we want to anchor so much of our work there as well.” https://lnkd.in/e6aeCcJh
