FHWA Administrator Shailen Bhatt was in Salt Lake City to award $20M Saving Lives with Connectivity grant to UDOT for the Connect the West project that deploys vehicle-to-everything (V2X) technology including sensors and wireless connectivity in three states: Utah, Wyoming, and Colorado. The project will help modernize the transportation system and make traveling safer for everyone. On the Road Again with Pavement Expertise: The FHWA Mobile Asphalt Technology Center (MATC) heads to the WYOMING DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (WYDOT) on July 11 through August 2. The MATC will set up at a paving project near Rock Springs to demonstrate asphalt tests that support balanced mix design and conduct other nondestructive field evaluation testing. In Wyoming?
