U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration have known for over 20 years that safer and more optimized mobility is highly dependent on INTELLIGENT INFRASTRUCTURE. In 1997, the Intelligent Transportation Society of America petitioned the Federal Communications Commission to allocate the 5.9 GHz Spectrum to support and enable Intelligent Transportation Systems.
