Paris pulled out a lot of stops as they prepped for the #Olympics, but this one was a head-turner. Historically, there simply aren’t public statues honoring female figures, only 2-3% globally, so the French *made* places for them during this global, highly-publicized, month-long event. Here's to giving these heroines the credit they deserve.

"It’s cool to work hard,” shared former gold medalist soccer player Heather O'Reilly. 👏 In the #EqualityLounge in celebration of Athleta’s Power of She, Heather shared transferable sports lessons and the power of fostering a supportive community to fuel your personal and professional aspirations. #athletapartner

It’s so much more than a medal. Discovering personal heroes as the blueprint for what hard work and success looks like is what it’s all about – and how exciting that so many of these heroes are some of the world’s greatest women athletes ⭐️ They’re out here setting standards for young girls *and* boys.

Let’s talk leadership. Men lead men well in the workplace. Women lead women well in the workplace. But who leads co-ed teams best? The answer is: women, according to a study conducted by researchers at Harvard Business School. They found that female leaders were better at building rapport, managing schedules, expressing a genuine interest in their direct reports’ lives, and communicating thoroughly about goals and expectations. We've said it before, and it's worth repeating: putting women in management positions is good for morale, productivity, retention—and business.

After a hang-gliding accident in 1978, Marilyn Hamilton was determined to continue her athletic lifestyle but was disappointed with the lack of lightweight and highly maneuverable wheelchairs on the market. Wheelchairs at the time—“stainless steel dinosaurs,” as she called them—were heavy and slow. The first mission of her company Motion Designs, founded in 1979, was to remedy this situation. Transforming traditional hang glider materials, her revolutionary “Quickie” wheelchair was customizable and made to be an extension of the body, with additional elements that could be added or taken away based on its users needs and recovery process. The mobile chair also helped center its user, particularly while playing sports. “Independence is a right that everyone deserves to have in their lives." she shared. 👏 Thank you, Marilyn!
