This is a fascinating use of #onlinecommunities. Often when I read #messageboards, I do wish that they could shown to #physicians, but it takes a long time to sift through them. This paper looked at how #machinelearning can synthesize what is happening and then #teach physicians. I would love to see this kind of tool implemented in more #femtech products. This is another area where having a #clinician on your team can help bridge the divide between #femtech and #clinicalteams. #Maternalsepsis is the third most common cause of #maternalmortality according t the WHO. Many times death is due to a delay in action which then cannot be fixed. #Innovation in this arena will truly save lives. Today we are highlighting Flosonics Medical. Their device is worn on a patients neck to monitor #hemodynamics. It's being used clinically already and we would love to see more use in #LaborandDelivery.

According to Becker's Physician Leadership and the AMA, here are the six physician specialties with the highest levels of intent to leave the field, and the percentage of those physicians who are considering a departure: 1. Internal medicine: 39.1% 2. Family medicine: 37.3% 3. Obstetrics and gynecology: 34% 4. Hospitalist medicine: 32.9% 5. Emergency medicine: 32.3% 6. Pediatrics: 30.2% That is essentially everyone who takes care of patients on the front line. #Burnout has many causes, but some are lack of control and not feeling like you can make a difference. Fascinating article looking at using #chatbots to do Step 3, which is a test #doctors take. In fast it's the last general test before you move into your specialty. The bots did great! We love hearing about how this will be implemented in #femtech and how it can be used to increase #equity and to combat #bias. Many #medicalerrors happen because humans fail to consider the right #diagnosis, but #machinelearning is excellent at making complete lists of #differentials.
