As FemmePacker is supposed to encourage people to reach their dreams, let us share the whole journey (with all the bumpy roads) with you. So, week 1. Here's what we have: MVP - launched; LinkedIn account and initial post - great numbers, 300+ views on LinkedIn page; 10 inbound requests to join; 3 IRL pitches; 50 first members; 1 short interview for one of the FemmePackers; Instagram created. Now, I am sharing this not to be bragging, but because I am willing to learn about the creation of business on the way. I have no clue what I am doing yet. Let's be a little bit more realistic: these numbers are not great, just because the end goal is actual user interactions. Out of the 50 users, only 5 wrote a message. 10% is not that bad, but at this point - not that good. Learnings of the week: 👉 No clear value = no interaction 👉 Best social proof = already happening conversations 👉 Onboarding process MATTERS 👉 MVP platform choice is important: I did not think it through as much as I could. It's the first time you see this not necessarily matchy catchy word combo, right? To put it into simple words, FemmePacker is a community-based platform that puts two things on the spotlight: women and travel. Our mission is to: - Empower women who always feared solo travelling start by taking small steps; - Discover the most interesting non-mainstream destinations (I assure you the craziest things happen in the smallest towns, experienced this while hitchhiking); - Showing that travelling is affordable and can be done by anyone; and most importantly, - Connect beautiful souls and show the world power of women while fighting the current stigmas. Gender-biased beliefs still exist and I am here to proudly show that a woman on the move isn't an anomaly, but rather a fellow human deserving of equal treatment. We believe that quality in travel experiences depends strongly on three things: your mindset, knowledge about the culture, and people around you. All of that routes to support, and this is what can be found in the exclusive community of FemmePacker.
