San Antonio's Premiere LGBTQ Youth and Young Adult Non-Profit Organization

About us

Our program serves LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer/questioning) teens, young adults, and their allies. Our hope is to empower youth to build a future where ALL people are accepted and loved as they are. In this way, our youth may become successful and contributing members of the community. Our mission is to provide a safe, non-judgmental, affirming place for LGBTQA young people to express and explore who they are through education, peer-support, advocacy, and friendship. We offer educational and enrichment activities designed to help youth build a sense of community through friendship and peer connection. We welcome all youth ages 12-18 for our youth program and young adults ages 28-22 to come join us for a Fiesta Youth Meeting. Our youth meetings were created to provide a safe, non-judgmental, affirming place for all LGBTQA youth. Every Tuesday, our youth meet at UPC to meet new friends, participate in fun games and activities (field trips, too!), and join in on group discussions and special events. Our young adults meet on Monday nights. We provide additional programming nights throughout the year with our partnerships with the San Antonio Library (Lit out of the closet) and the YMCA (YMCA Nights). Our 4 C Program provides young adult programming at 4 of our local colleges and universities. (GALA at San Antonio College, the Coalition at Texas A&M University - San Antonio, PRIDE at Trinity University, and Spectrum at the University of Texas at San Antonio) We are a non-profit organization. All of our funding comes from sponsorship's of our special events, donors, and available grants. We appreciate any support we receive from our community and thank you to those who have contributed. If interested in sponsoring our organization or volunteering please send us an email at [email protected]

Congratulations to the Sitting Ducks! Their first season was a huge success all around. As a first year rookie team whose members had no previous experience with robotics, they were finalists in their League Championship and Semi-Finalists at the San Antonio Semi-Area championship; while also taking 3rd place in the Control Award which recognizes outstanding programming integration. We look forward to seeing them next season and hope to build the team. Thank you to our amazing coach and all of the parents who dedicated so much time to our team! You can see them this Saturday at the Witte Museum between 12-4 pm at the 3rd Annual "Engineering It" event.

We are thrilled to announce that Taylor Dayne will be our headliner for our 10th anniversary celebration during our World AIDS Day Remembrance and Hope events. She will be performing many of her hits that we have loved for many years, and you will get a chance to ask questions to her after her performance. This is a great opportunity to have an amazing evening with an ICON up close and personal all while raising money for Fiesta Youth programming for the LGBTQIA+ youth of our communities. Get your tickets now. Limited number of meet and greet tickets are available for you to meet with Taylor before she takes the stage. https://lnkd.in/gacuSX_D
