Fit Houston promotes increasing consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables and we’re grateful to our partners working to increase access. Here’s a glimpse of what our walkers had after their walk last week! 🍊🍊🍊🧡🧡🧡 #WALK30 #fresh #veggies #healthyhabits #health

Proud of leaders who show up for the community to make neighborhoods better.
As a nonprofit leader with many years of service to Houston's communities, I appreciate leaders who "walk the walk" as much as they "talk the talk"! Joaquin Martinez, City Council Member from District I, and Edith Santamaria, MPP, brought their families to walk with residents from our Sisters of Charity #WALK30 group in Idylwood. #WALK30 #idylwood #community #connection #leadership City of Houston Fit Houston

My admiration for this walking group that was hit so hard by the recent “derecho” storm runs deep. They get back up, support each other, and show up 200%. Every single time. 🧡🧡🧡 #CAMINA30

There are few better ways to learn and connect with community than to take a walk with others. It was an honor to facilitate this walk in collaboration with experts in health: Madres del Parque Health Equity Collective Jaime González Burnett Bayland Park community Residents With gratitude, thank you. 🙏🏻

There was a Walk & Learn at Burnett Bayland Park in Gulfton this morning. There was an awesome turnout and the weather was PERFECT. We learned about cool apps like: Seek by iNaturalist, Merlin Bird ID, Decibel X:db used to gather data that can help put together solutions for #climatechange in ar risk communities. #Communityleaders are using #nature to improve physical and #mentalhealth, boost #climateresilience and support #biodiversity in the #neighborhood. Thank you Jaime González , Fit Houston , Madres del Parque/Mothers of the Park, Health Equity Collective, Lesley Briones for Harris County Commissioner Pct. 4 !
