📢Today brands across industries are coming together as part of the Don’t Ban Equality coalition to call on peers in the business community to protect abortion and reproductive healthcare access through a prominent billboard ad north of Times Square at 54th and Broadway. ❌The Coalition intended to run the ad in Times Square but was rejected. The original ad read: “Abortion access is every business’s business” and has since been changed to “Reproductive Health is every business’s business.” Ultimately only a woman-led media company would run it. ⏱️The timing is strategic to raise awareness this Women’s History Month and days before the U.S. Supreme Court hearing on March 26 where access to medication abortion nationwide hangs in the balance. This decision could impact people in every state across the country, not only states with abortion bans. Cases like this underscore how tenuous access to abortion is state by state after Roe v. Wade was overturned. 🌊The brands highlighted in this ad alongside nearly 1,100 other signers of Don’t Ban Equality from every state, ranging from small businesses to publicly traded companies, understand that the health of their workforce and communities where they live and work is at stake.
