Our team is excited to share that 70.59% of all member connection attempts through Flexpa are successful 🎉 and 75.39% of the Medicare and MA subset of members succeed. We've devoted significant energy to ensuring user success in connecting their accounts, analyzing and reducing drop-off, and working with our payer partners on troubleshooting issues. Angela Liu, our Head of Design, wrote about our learnings, what work we have left, what users are saying, and the research we've conducted in this article. Give it a read, and let us know what you think! https://lnkd.in/g-CnhRcr

Will AI replace FHIR? Betteridge's law mea culpas aside, #fhirdevdays — the largest FHIR-only event in the world — is a wrap. DevDays has a reputation for being at the cutting-edge of healthcare interoperability and gives us a look into major health IT themes for 2024 and beyond. Flexpa compiled all the spiciest takes and highlights from the event.

Today we released our first State of Payer Patient Access API report, highlighting which insurance carriers are thriving, who's doing the bare minimum, and where some plans still need to work towards compliance and beyond. Empowering patients to direct their data to the applications of their choosing increases patient satisfaction, reduces support burden, and enables better care. However, many Americans still lack this capability - nearly 20% of Medicaid populations still not have access and around 80% of patients on employer-based plans do not. We hope payers, vendors, developers, regulators, and legislators will benefit from this research and look forward to collaborating with them as we all continue to strengthen this infrastructure in months and years to come https://lnkd.in/gVSxKvEF

All Americans should be able to access the data from their health plans. Great to see the State of Tennessee expand the Patient Access API to all lines of business for payers. Strong work by Senator Shane Reeves for his leadership here (and the full House and Senate, who passed it unanimously). We are excited to see states fill the gap where the federal government has not yet stepped in. https://lnkd.in/gXUeJkiW

Claims data access webinar is tomorrow! Make sure to register and attend!
Claims data. Even as the walls of data silos have increasingly fallen, we sit like Ahab, looking for the white whale that still lurks out there. Healthcare's mythical beast, the financial construct upon which EHR empires have risen and fallen, offers tremendous potential to help patients and providers. The roads to access that data are less well-known and trodden, though. Join us on March 5th as Brendan Keeler, our Head of Product, talks about the varied routes to identified and deidentified claims, cutting through the Gordian Knot of acronyms (BCDA, DPC, BB2, CMS-9115, and more) to unlock your ability to help patients navigate care, access novel therapies, and maintain their financial health. There are a dizzying array of options when it comes to claims data. But don't worry - we've got you covered as our Head of Product, Brendan Keeler, has distilled it down for you. Interested to learn about identified vs deidentified pathways? Wondering what attribution is and why it matters? Curious about the differences between DPC, BCDA, Blue Button 2.0, and AB2D? Or perhaps wondering why the claims data aggregator you just talked to reminds you of the guy you'd get discount Dave Matthews Band tickets from in high school?
