This summer, R&E worked with the Food Recovery Network to bring fresh vegetables to families through the SoWashCo CARES Skoolie program. All produce was recovered from local farms, and produce remaining at the end of each night was given to food shelves in Washington County, ensuring that no food was wasted. We look forward to continuing this partnership to keep good food out of the trash!

We are proud to contribute as a member of the Zero Food Waste Coalition, working together to advance innovative policies and practices that align with our mission to reduce food waste and feed people.

Between July 2023 and June 2024, over 1,785 metric tons of CO₂ emissions were prevented thanks to FRN's amazing student leaders and powerful partnerships.
