Announcing a bittersweet farewell as we say goodbye to a valued member of our Forge family—Lauren Dodson, our esteemed Marketing and Student Success Manager. As Lauren embarks on the next chapter of her career, we take a moment to reflect on her journey with us. From her beginnings as a Digital Marketing Launch Student to her impactful roles as a Marketing Coordinator, Launch Manager, and Launch Teaching Assistant, Lauren’s dedication, creativity, and passion have been truly inspiring and impactful. Now, with her sights set on a new adventure, Lauren is about to add some Disney magic to her repertoire. She is preparing to travel to Orlando, Florida, where she will begin her journey as a PhotoPass Photographer within the Disney College Program at Walt Disney World for the next seven months. We stand in awe of her continued pursuit of adventure and cannot wait to cheer her on from the sidelines. When asked about her time at Forge, Lauren told us: “Little did I know that one email from my Introduction to Media Studies professor would have led me on such an amazing journey. Not only have I been able to build my skills in digital marketing, but I have gained so many mentors, friends, soft skills, and memories that I will cherish for a lifetime. Thank you, Forge, for such an incredible experience; this is not a goodbye, but a see you real soon!” As we bid farewell to Lauren, we extend our gratitude for her invaluable contributions and wish her nothing but success in her future endeavors. She reminisces, "At the end of Launch Training last summer, Reid and I challenged our students to create a collage commemorating their three weeks of learning. Some groups stumbled upon photos of Reid and me online, even some embarrassing childhood ones, and incorporated them into their collages. While it was a bit cringey for us, it was heartwarming to see that we had made a lasting impact on our students and created a fun and productive learning environment." As the past DEI Director at Forge, she's been instrumental in hosting numerous trainings fostering inclusivity and equity within our community. When reflecting on her Forge journey, Sarrah fondly recalls, "The end-of-semester pregame in the Forge house two years ago holds a special place in my heart.
