Today, we remember the events of September 11, 2001, and honor the lives lost and forever changed by that tragic day. As we reflect on the courage, resilience, and unity that emerged in the wake of the attacks, we also pay tribute to the first responders, the families who lost loved ones, and the countless individuals who came together to support one another in the darkest of times. May we continue to strive for peace and never forget the courage shown that day.

Congratulations to the Fort Dodge Regional Airport for their recent Central Region Airport Safety and Recognition Award! The Central Region Airports Division selected the Fort Dodge Regional Airport to receive a Safety award for the high level of operational safety and compliance to the FAA Part 139 certification program in Fiscal Year 2024. "Fort Dodge Regional Airport has exemplified a high level of operational safety and compliance during FY24. The Airport successfully and safely worked through multiple airfield projects, maintenance projects, hangar additions, and the transition to new fueling safety standards - all while maintaining safe air service and the ability to serve the community with hosting Honor Flights. Even when faced with challenges brought about by a temporary personnel shortage, FOD always ensured safety and compliance without compromise or excuse which led to a very successful Part 139 Annual Inspection. The Airport consistently provides excellent communication, timely and accurate Airport Certification Manual submissions, and a willingness to constantly go above and beyond to assure a safe airport."
