Pipelines are the most #efficient and #economical way to transport huge quantities of crude #oil, refined #petroleum products, or natural #gas through land, and they may be found in almost every country on the planet. Only in the United States are there about a half a million kilometers of pipelines that are used to transmit natural gas, oil, and other potentially dangerous substances. The United States is just the third greatest producer of oil in the world, behind Russia and Saudi Arabia. The gathering area, transmission lines, compressor or pumping stations, and distribution lines are the components that are typically connected by a standard petroleum pipeline. Pipeline safety rules and practices restrict worker exposure to highly flammable substances and either control or eliminate ignition sources in the working environment. This is done since the majority of pipeline contents and their gases are highly combustible. Pipeline operators are required, by federal regulations, to develop emergency response plans in the event of a pipeline spill and to make those plans available for inspection by Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) of the U.S. Department of Transportation as well as by local emergency response agencies. In our group, we develop intelligent solutions that are based on artificial intelligence to identify fluid leaks quickly and fast in order to prevent explosions and fires. These solutions can be used to save lives. Join us and learn how to reduce costs, prevent damage, and increase your level of #safety. #technology #tech #innovation #industry #transporation #safe #innovative

According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (#OSHA) in the United States, chemicals that are not properly managed can have harmful or even catastrophic consequences. These consequences can include toxic fumes, fires, and explosions that can result in injury and/or death, damage to physical property, and severe effects on the environment. In addition, improper management of chemicals can have a negative impact on the environment. It is absolutely necessary to have facilities that are well constructed, #safe to operate, and regularly inspected and maintained in order to guarantee that chemicals will not be released into the #environment in an unsafe manner. For instance, the European Union mandates that all barges operating on rivers in #Europe must have a double-hull to comply with safety regulations. In addition, it is of the utmost importance that facilities have an #efficient oil spill emergency response capability that is capable of planning, preparing, and practicing emergency responses to accidents in order to lessen the negative effects on the people and environment in the surrounding area. Did you know that gas and oil leaks are among the most significant contributing elements in the cause of explosions and fires? In addition to being extremely hazardous for both people and the environment, the spread of fires caused by leaks of liquids in oil refineries is one of the primary contributors to the depletion of oil reserves. These kinds of damages are not eligible for compensation, although incidents of this nature can be avoided with careful #management and up-to-date #technology. #ideas #innovation #innovative #safety

Continuous #inspections, worker #education on #safety concerns, the use of CCTV #cameras, and other methods are used to maintain a #safe working environment and prevent #workplace dangers and disasters. However, proper surveillance is too expensive and insufficiently #accurate in this method. Fortpallas is a system that detects hazards and #alerts workers and #managers to avert monetary and personal losses using #CCTV, thermal cameras, and gas detection sensors. It uses image processing to examine camera and sensor #data in order to detect potential threats. The cost-effectiveness of our software is such that it does not require extensive monitoring resources. The collected data will eventually be used to train a machine-learning computer to extract workers' behavior patterns, lowering detection time and increasing efficacy. #imageprocessing #innovation #innovative #industry #technology #computervision

Each day, the world consumes approximately 88 million petroleum or crude oil barrels. This is why it is critical to understand Petroleum Plant Safety. This is understandable – oil and gas resources, such as petroleum, account for a sizable portion of the global economy, as most of these products are used to generate energy. Today, the world is heavily reliant on petroleum for motive power, lubrication, fuel, dyes, pharmaceuticals, and various other synthetics. A barrel of crude oil contains approximately 42 gallons (159 liters), from which refineries can produce approximately 19 gallons (72 liters) of motor gasoline and 10 gallons (38 liters) of diesel fuel, among other petroleum products. Concentrated in a small number of geographic regions worldwide, the Middle East dominates the world's oil and gas reserves. Thirteen of the world's twenty largest oil deposits are located in the Middle East, with five located in Saudi Arabia alone, including the world's largest deposit, the Ghawar field. Each of these five countries – Saudi Arabia, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, and Kuwait – produces more than two million barrels per day, accounting for the lion's share of regional production. Gas and oil companies must follow strict, mandatory safety practices to mitigate these risks to human life, property, and the wider environment. Both fixed and portable gas detection systems, which frequently operate in conjunction with flame detection systems, are critical for monitoring the environment for potential hazards. #innovation #monitoring #managing #danger #oil #ai #safety

Oil and gas safety monitoring has become economically and strategically vital due to the sensitivity of oil and gas, as well as the high danger of oil and gas fields and the high flammability of raw materials and production. Because of the scope and diversity of activities that take place in oil and gas fields, this sector of the economy must adhere to the highest standards of occupational and environmental safety. Oil refineries are vast industrial complexes that connect huge chemical processing equipment, such as distillation columns, with enormous piping networks. Refineries for oil are, in many respects, similar to chemical plants. In 2020, the capacity of the world's crude oil refineries was roughly 101,2 million barrels per day, and some contemporary petroleum refineries are capable of processing up to 800,000 to 900,000 barrels (120,000 to 143,000 cubic meters) per day. This statistic also demonstrates how essential it is to keep the refineries and the people who work there operating at full capacity. The use of appropriate clothing and protective headgear by agents is one of the most important aspects of agent safety. Workers' carelessness is another factor that contributes to the high number of fatalities that occur in refineries. As a result, both the safety apparel that workers wear and their exposure to potentially hazardous situations should be monitored, and workers should be given timely warnings in order to prevent casualties. #Fortpallas #Equipment #Monitoring #HSEConditions #RealTimeInsights #Efficiency #Optimization #SafetyFirst #ComplianceStandards #OperationalExcellence

Oil and natural gas are indispensable to human life on a day-to-day basis. These two types of fossil fuels are responsible for 86 percent of the world's total energy needs when combined. Products that are derived from gas and oil are put to use all over the world as either fuel (such as diesel or gasoline, for instance) or as building blocks in the chemical and petrochemical industries. The extraction, transportation, processing, and refining of gas and oil are all intricate processes that frequently pose major hazards to the individuals and assets involved in these activities. When combustible liquids or gases are present, there is an increased risk of a fire or explosion occurring. Burns, asphyxiation, cancer, and system corrosion are all risks that may be increased due to the usage of toxic chemicals or gases in these procedures. Gas and oil industries are required to adhere to stringent and mandatory safety procedures in order to reduce the associated threats to human life, property, and the environment as a whole. Monitoring the environment for potential dangers requires the utilization of both fixed and portable gas detection systems, which usually work in concert with flame detection systems. In subsequent posts, we will discuss the innovative solutions that we have developed to protect workers and immediately identify fires and other dangers. Therefore, come along and follow us.

Crude oil can not be used in its natural state except for fuel combustion, which is inefficient. It must be refined to produce finished products such as gasoline and heating oil. Petroleum refineries convert crude oil into petroleum products used as transportation fuels, heating oil, road paving, electricity generation, and feedstocks to manufacture chemicals. Refining separates crude oil into its constituents, then reconfigured selectively into new products. Petroleum refineries are sophisticated and costly industrial complexes. Both crude oil and finished products are temporarily stored on a tank farm near the refinery in large tanks. The final products are transported across the country via pipelines, trains, and trucks from the storage tanks. Oil refineries are vital and must be secured. Therefore, fire hazards and leaks must be avoided. If there is a leak in the pipelines where the final products are stored and transported, and this issue is not identified correctly and quickly, the refinery is likely to suffer irreparable damage. In your opinion, what methods can be used to identify hazards in a timely and accurate manner? Join us. #Fortpallas #Equipment #Monitoring #HSEConditions #RealTimeInsights #Efficiency #Optimization #SafetyFirst #ComplianceStandards #OperationalExcellence
