Four County Mental Health Center, Inc. offers an "Emotional Mastery for Teens" group on Thursdays! This group is for teens ages 12-17 who have an open case with Four County and want to learn more about their emotions and how to manage them in a healthy way. We explore different aspects of emotions, such as how they are triggered, how they affect our thoughts and behaviors, and how we can use them to our advantage. We provide support and encouragement for each other as we work on developing our emotional intelligence. Some of the topics are identify emotions, challenge thoughts, learn coping skills, identify triggers, understand reactions, and change negative behaviors.
