The Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University welcomed nearly 100 first-year graduate students from close to home and abroad for an orientation covering the expectations and opportunities offered in the nationally ranked MBA program led by Graduate Dean Kaushik Sengupta and administrative team Lisa Welch, Nicolle Tumminelli, Cellestine Mabeya, and Janine Michell. The orientation was followed by a festive Zarb School community networking event to celebrate the start of the students' transformative journey ahead. Thanks to Zarb School deans, faculty, and staff for taking part in welcome festivities, including talks by Zarb Dean Janet Lenaghan, Co-Op MBA Director Andrew M. Forman, and Graduate Business Career Relations Associate Director Lauren Moy, MS, ICF Certified. Zarb School of Business recently welcomed a new class of Executive MBA students, all of whom are experienced professionals and evolving leaders in business representing various industries. The full-day EMBA orientation at Hofstra University featured team-building activities, networking with school faculty and administrators including Zarb Dean Janet Lenaghan and Hofstra Senior Vice Provost Comila Shahani-Denning, as well as an opportunity for students to experience simulated work-related scenarios using virtual reality tech tools provided by Zarb's Core Skill Lab. Directed by professor Kathleen Bakarich, PhD, CPA, the 11-month EMBA program focuses on experiential learning through business case studies, company-sponsored projects, and discussions on global and local business topics. It also includes a one-week trip abroad for networking and consulting with global enterprises. Recent trips have been to Amsterdam, Denmark, Italy, and Spain. Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University welcomed over 60 new Zarb Online MBA (OLMBA) students from all walks of life and professions for a two-day orientation that included an overview of the curriculum and resources led by Graduate Dean Kaushik Sengupta, in addition to talks by Zarb Dean Janet Lenaghan and Hofstra Senior Provost for Academic Affairs Comila Shahani-Denning. OLMBA orientation activities featured networking and team-building exercises as well as an opportunity to explore the state-of-the-art technology at Zarb, including AI and virtual reality tools in our Core Skills Lab. Students also took time to gear up with Zarb merchandise at The Zarb Store, an undergraduate student-run, on-campus enterprise. Thank you to Zarb faculty and administrators K.G.
