Hurricane Debby (or maybe Tropical Depression Debby by the time it reaches us) is expected to bring a lot of rainfall to our area later this week. Before the storm arrives, start preparing yourself and your property to weather the storm: 🧹 Clean up around property of anything that could take flight during the storm 🍉 Have three days of food and water so you don’t have to drive during the storm 🧹 Clean up around gutters, storm drains, and culverts to allow for water to flow freely 🚗 Do not drive through flowing water over roadways, do not drive through puddles you can’t see the road underneath the water, do not drive around barricades 📞 During the storm only call 9-1-1 in life-threatening situations 📰 Follow local media and reliable sources for updates and weather alerts ⚠️ Consider signing up for emergency alerts through Hyper-Reach at https://lnkd.in/egqkzhJS

Summit Real Estate Group’s Arrowrock US Industrial Fund IV is pleased to announce the delivery of Phase I at US-1 North Commerce Center in Youngsville, NC, just north of Raleigh. The 106-acre industrial site was acquired Q4 2022 and is programmed for five buildings in three phases. With its flexible design and an opportunity for outside trailer parking, the park has attracted manufacturing, distribution, transportation, and industrial service companies. Phase I includes two Class A multi-tenant warehouses that were 89% pre-leased at delivery. Summit anticipates starting construction on Phase II, two buildings representing 470,575 square feet, in Q3 2024. Foundry Commercial is marketing the park’s buildings for lease or sale: https://lnkd.in/eUT5iydv #SummitRealEstate #SummitRealEstateGroup #IndustrialRealEstate #US1NorthCommerceCenter #YoungsvilleNC #RaleighNC #Leasing

July is Parks & Recreation Month and the Board of Commissioners recognized several individuals who contribute to the success of Franklin County parks. 🎖️Rebekah McPhetridge is an Eagle Scout who designed and installed a sensory board at Franklinton Park that addresses communication barriers and offers a valuable resource for individuals with diverse needs. Listen to Rebekah talk about it on the Franklin County N.C. Podcast here: https://conta.cc/4cOPp3I 🎖️Jim Murphy has been a member of the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board for the past decade -- including serving as chairman during his tenure. Jim has been a faithful member and a tremendous advocate for parks and recreation and his volunteer service will be greatly missed. 🎖️Franklin County Special Olympics participated in the Summer Games in June and sent one its largest delegations to Raleigh. Eleven athletes began training for these games in February and brought home 18 Gold Medals, 15 Silver Medals, four Bronze Medals, and one 4th place ribbon. 🏛️Additionally, the Board heard from Tia Iverson -- a Franklin County 4-H youth participant -- on her plans to attend the 117th Annual Conference of the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners in Forsyth County on August 8-10, 2024.
