    Hesitant to share your startup story? Here’s why you shouldn’t be. 👇 👇 Every now and then, I speak with a founder who is obviously very early stage. When I talk to them about getting them on my podcast, there's sometimes hesitancy. They say things like, "It's too early to talk about it. We don't have product-market fit," or, "We just have a couple of customers right now." Here’s the thing: this is a big misconception in the founder's mind. When you talk about your business, you’re not talking about product features or the number of customers you have. You're talking about your vision and the problem you’re solving. Don't be afraid. You should be talking about the problem, the people, and your vision. This is what attracts buyers and stakeholders—they're invested in the problem you're solving and your vision for the future. Your job as a company is to deliver on your brand promise. So, don't hesitate. Go on podcasts, go on LinkedIn, and talk about what you do. There's nothing better you can do for your business.     We were shaken by the news last year that my wife had not one, but two different types of cancer. Breast Cancer and Cervical Cancer. Following further treatments, and procedures, the diagnosis of Breast Cancer was ruled out. However, Cervical Cancer was confirmed (stage 1a, elevated from precancerous CIN5 stage). We had multiple LEEP procedures and then eventually had a Hysterectomy. Hysterectomy resulted in removal of Cervix, Uterus, and Fallopian tubes. Fortunately for us, we are already blessed with two beautiful daughters ages 2 and 4 years old. Thankfully, last month we had clean reports and were cleared. This whole experience once again puts life in perspective...both personally and professionally. For years, I have been dreaming about building something at the intersection of healthcare, marketing, and tech. Last week, I announced that I'm launching the biggest project of my career.     "She who is closest to the customer wins, she who stays closest to the customer continues to win." I saw this on a post by Jill Rowley last week. Really profound. This statement serves as a powerful reminder of the essence of effective GTM strategies — proximity to and understanding of the customer. It was a great reminder of how GTM strategies need to align with this thinking. Today's thinking! It's really noisy out there, and very hard to get the attention of your prospective customers. There is literally no excuse for companies to not explore options that will help you get that facetime with your prospective buyer. (o hello - Nearbound!) Remember, everything starts with a relationship. Trust is built through relationships. Too often, marketing is focused on building an audience, engaging with prospects, and orchestrating several channels. Although all those things are great, are they getting you any closer to your customers? That is the lens you have to view your efforts from. Truly connect with and understand your customer's needs.     This afternoon, I had the incredible privilege of joining a podcast episode hosted by two absolute legends. Richard Harris™ and 🏄♂️ Scott Leese - the "Surf and Sales Podcast". I'm not gonna lie, I spent the first 5-10 minutes starstruck, just soaking in their presence and having an absolute fanboy moment.
