Another safety 🎯 target for 2024 completed! Freyssinet recently hosted a comprehensive ASME Basic Rigging Training in Nags Head, NC. Led by industry experts from Peoples Lift Specialists, the four-hour session delved into essential aspects of #RiggingSafety and efficiency. Participants gathered from several of our job sites to enhance their skills in selecting and inspecting rigging equipment, mastering safe rigging techniques, calculating and distributing loads, understanding standard compliance, and fostering effective communication practices. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Freyssinet's #SafetyDepartment for planning this crucial training initiative & those that participated. Celebrating VINCI Construction Safety Days with the crews that make it happen! 💪🙌 While our teams work hard to provide the best product for our clients and build a strong foundation for tomorrow, safety is never an afterthought AND always top of mind. This stems from Freyssinet's culture that enforces engaging initiatives such as #SafetyDays — an event we celebrate annually to bring extra attention to health and safety at work. For five full days, employees engaged in lengthy special training sessions focused on important topics such as working on water, working at heights, silica, and more to enhance awareness and ensure safe practices in these critical areas. Throughout the event, 65 personnel actively participated at different job sites across the East Coast and received valuable tools to champion safe decisions on the job. We also conducted team-building exercises focused on effective communication and decision-making – recognizing winning teams with trophies. The week concluded with a BBQ and an introduction to our new safety programs. Freyssinet will continue to foster open dialogue and hold trainings that are educational and interactive to ensure our workers are prepared to take action and able to return home safely. When #BearingRealignments are needed, there’s no rest for us night owls. 🦉🌙 For the past year (while the world was asleep 😴), Freyssinet was hard at work developing jacking plans and orchestrating #HeavyLifting operations to realign numerous bridge bearings on pier caps, columns, and straddle bents on Northern Virginia’s I-66 corridor. By providing specialty hydraulic jacks, pumps, accessories, and on-site supervision during the construction works – the structures were mostly lifted over live traffic during night operations. The use of our specialized equipment and expertise from our resourceful #Engineers allowed Freyssinet to complete this work in a narrow time frame despite limited accessibility and extremely low vertical clearance. No dreams needed when reality is this beautiful. 🌴😍 We are celebrating one year since the completion of our #BridgeRepair project along SR5, spanning over the picturesque Lignumvitae Channel in Islamorada, Florida. The crystal-clear water & beautiful weather made this project feel like paradise as our crew completed a comprehensive scope of work on Bridge #900096: ☑ 8 cubic feet of concrete spall repairs ☑ 650 linear feet of crack injection with epoxy ☑ 131 linear feet of Cathodic Protection pile jackets ☑ 42,000 square feet of concrete deck sealing with methacrylates   Navigating projects like this, predominantly over water, can pose complex challenges. Luckily, challenging is our specialty - we relied on our extensive expertise, strict safety protocols, and innovative #EngineeringSolutions to reach the work efficiently. It was a pleasure to make waves on this wonderful project, and we can’t wait to work with the Florida Department of Transportation on more impactful repair endeavors in the future. 🌊 🚧 #Freyssinet #BridgeConstruction #EngineeringSolutions #CivilEngineering

It's time for us to put our hard hats on and get down to business! 👷♂️👷♀️ Freyssinet has recently been awarded THREE prestigious projects across the United States, showcasing our expertise in #TransportationInfrastructure. They are uniquely challenging, and we are looking forward to bringing our long-standing expertise to each of them. 🛣 1) VDOT K43: Situated on RT 33 in West Point, VA, this project involves the replacement of the shoulder bridge joints on the bascule spans, installation of a new stainless steel bridge drainage system, and a floor leveling modification in the supporting structure. With completion expected in early summer, we're eager to successfully strengthen this critical transportation route. 🛫 2) IAD Viaduct Rehabilitation: At Dulles International Airport, our team will undertake the challenging task of repairing the deck, joints, and trench drains for the arrival and departure decks. This night work project poses unique phasing challenges, but we're prepared to overcome them to provide our client with the best product. 🌉 3) Louisiana US190 – US61 Overpass Interchange Repairs: In the East Baton Rouge Parish, our work involves Carbon Fiber reinforced Polymer (CFRP) strengthening of girders, bearing replacement, concrete repairs, and structural painting. We're set to install 4,226 SF of CFRP and replace 85 bearings during the 2024 construction season.
