Yesterday, the General Atomics Energy Group was honored to welcome California State Senator Catherine Blakespear to the DIII-D National Fusion Facility, which is operated by GA on behalf of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). While touring the facility, Senator Blakespear and GA leadership had great conversations about how the CA state government can support the development of fusion energy, as well as DIII-D's role in advancing fusion research as the largest magnetically confined tokamak in the U.S. Earlier this month, the Energy Group was also happy to host California State Senator Josh Newman at DIII-D and show him the inner workings of the facility. We're thankful for the continued support of our local State Senators and are proud to operate in San Diego, California. #fusionenergy #cleanenergy #GeneralAtomics #California
