    Last week we co-hosted a dinner with MUFG and Stifel Bank bringing together CEO's and other C-Suite Executives in our community for a discussion centered on scaling SaaS in the AI era. Here are a few key takeaways from the evening's conversations: 🔹AI ADOPTION: In 2024 enterprises are still in discovery mode of how to best utilize AI and aren't willing to adopt AI just for AI's sake — ROI is top of mind so products have to solve a problem! AI-first products need to lead with outcomes, NOT promises, to ensure customer retention and expansion.  🔹PRICING AI PRODUCTS: There's no apparent price ceiling for AI Products yet. Products with high ROI via adoption, deep workflow integration, and effective UI/UX have pricing power, but that pricing ability does not always apply in other areas.  🔹 MANAGING COSTS WITH AN AI BUILD: Companies building AI-first products are looking keenly into managing the cost of delivery. Leveraging granular visibility into consumption, product builders are eager to manage hyperscaler costs as they deliver to end customers. Another major cost item is around talent. Not a new topic, but founders are diversifying into non-Bay area US cities and internationally. One dinner attendee commented on the importance of maintaining salary parity across types of engineers, as skilled engineers should be able to adapt to the tides of AI knowledge. When it comes to solving for hiring AI talent, it's best to index first on aptitude, then attitude, and finally by skill. Thank you to everyone who joined us for an engaging evening!
