The Georgia Balance of State Continuum of Care (CoC) is now accepting Notices of Intent for the Continuum of Care Builds Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). This NOFO is a one-time award that supports efforts to reduce homelessness in CoC areas by creating, acquiring, or rehabbing permanent supportive housing. A Notice of Intent must be submitted before applying for these funds. The Housing Opportunity for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) Program, funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, is dedicated to providing housing support and related services to low-income individuals living with HIV/AIDS. DCA administers the HOPWA program in 125 Georgia counties that are mainly rural and outside of Metropolitan Atlanta are and the Augusta-Richmond area. In response to the 2024 federal funding cycle, the DCA HOPWA program received and vetted several applications. After this process, 13 agencies have been awarded a total of more than $7 million.

The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Regional Office in Waycross reopens today, operating under its regular hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM!

It's been three weeks since DCA announced the Georgia Supportive Housing Institute and applications are now live! DCA, in partnership with the Corporation for Supportive Housing, is once again calling all Georgia affordable housing developers, property managers, service providers, and other interested stakeholders to apply for a five-month training series coming this Fall. Applications are competitive, and may be submitted by cross-functional teams and individuals, however, benefits will differ based upon applicant status. Teams will receive the full benefits of the Institute, but there are limited slots available for individual participants willing to be matched with one another into conceptual teams. Eligible teams that complete the Georgia Supportive Housing Institute may apply for a special funding opportunity in 2025 as well as a “Quality Endorsement” from the Corporation for Supportive Housing.
