Meet Sebastian, a summer intern in our Lincoln, NE office. Sebastian is a Senior at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, studying Supply Chain Management. He heard about GIX from a UNL career fair (our favorite way to meet students). Sebastian has some family background in the trucking industry and has been expanding his knowledge on the brokerage side this summer. . Fun Fact: Sebastian is fluent in Polish. So, if you're looking to book a load in Polish, he's your guy. In his free time, you can find him enjoying the outdoors while going on long hikes with his dog or working out in the gym. . Meet Jackson, a summer intern in our Grand Island office. Jackson is a Junior at Arizona State University, studying Business Communications and International Business. He heard about GIX from friends who have previously done an internship with us. Jackson has been evolving in his intern role while being a great assisting hand on our operations floor.  . Fun Fact: Jackson is ambidextrous. In his free time, you can find him out on the golf course or relaxing at the lake. . "I have learned so much in a short amount of time here. Meet Karter Kirkland, a summer intern in our Grand Island office. Karter is a sophomore at Central Community College, studying Logistics and Supply Chain Management. He heard about GIX from a current intern and decided to apply. Karter has been diving into the internship by checking on current loads and booking available freight. We love to watch interns assist full-timers by rolling up their sleeves alongside the rest of the team. . Fun Fact: Karter is double-jointed in both wrists. In his free time, you can find him spending time in the great outdoors or taking long drives in the country. . "My biggest takeaway so far, and what I like most about this job, is that every situation is different. You are presented with a new situation to problem solve every time, which keeps you on your feet and engaged."

Meet Gisell Torres, a summer intern in our Grand Island office. Gisell is a senior at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, studying Advertising and Public Relations with a minor in Marketing Management. She heard about GIX from a career fair at UNK and our social media platforms. Gisell has been a great addition to our summer internship program, and we are excited to see her grow and develop in her intern role. . Fun Fact: Gisell has seen Post Malone in concert three times and even traveled to Texas to see him perform last summer. In her free time, you can find her listening to music or podcasts, playing pickleball, and hanging out with her family and friends. . "I've enjoyed getting to know everyone in the office. They are all super welcoming and always willing to help out. The most important thing I have learned so far is that it is okay to make mistakes and learn from them. It is all a part of the learning process!"
