The latest Indianapolis Racial Equity report card presents over 30 indicators that describe the state of equity in Indianapolis in seven key areas (economy, health, education, access, environment, criminal justice, and housing), chosen based on community input. To get to this moment took us months of preparation, recruiting, collaboration, and even getting some phenomenal coaching! We are excited to welcome cohort 2 of our Black Teacher Residency Program! These educators are about make a big difference in the lives of students on a daily basis, and excited we get to be along side them for the journey! This grant will support our mission to provide help and relief to those who are struggling in these communities.

In 2020, 1 in 10 people in the U.S. experienced food insecurity. By 2022, that number rose to 1 in 8. While need continues to rise, tools to address that need have diminished. Glick Philanthropies recently granted $3,950,000 to nonprofit organizations, including nearly $1 million to support food access 🥕 🍞 🍎 and basic needs 🍼 🚌 💡. “There’s public pressure to create new affordable housing—and that’s certainly important—but it must be done in conjunction with the preservation of existing housing stock," says David Barrett, president of Glick Housing Foundation.
