"That trip redefined my preconceived notions of what going solo on a guided group trip means: a rare chance to move through a landscape I’d probably not get to on my own while making precious new connections along the way." These heartfelt words come from Melissa Fields, a Visit Utah writer who recently joined us on our guided Women's Backpacking Trip to Capitol Reef National Park. In her latest article, she beautifully captures all the details that make our trips so special. From the insightful pre-trip Zoom call that helped her choose the perfect backpack to the immediate bonds she formed with the other incredible women on the trip, Melissa's authentic reflection speaks volumes about her experience. Our journeys are not just about exploring stunning landscapes but also about fostering deep connections with nature, oneself, and each other. Whether it's experiencing a challenging backpacking route or sharing a serene moment under Capitol Reef's dark sky, every part of the adventure is designed to be transformative. Make sure to read Melissa's full article on Visit Utah and swipe to see some of the unforgettable moments we shared on this amazing trip! #CapitolReef #capitolreefnationalpark #Utahparks #visitutah #nationalparktour #outdoortravel #hikingtours #backpackingtours #usnationalparks #adventuretravel #womenwhohike #guidedtrips #guidedtravel #grouptravel #solotravel

They don't call it the GRAND Tetons for nothing! Last month, we embraced the grandeur on our Yellowstone & Grand Teton small group tour. From exploring geothermal activity in Yellowstone to floating down the Snake River in Grand Teton and spotting countless megafauna in both parks, it was truly quite the adventure. Joining a guided trip with us means your clients get to enjoy all these experiences seen here without the hassle of planning. Our expert guides share their knowledge of the parks' history and ecology, ensure your safety, and take you to the best spots. Who's ready to join us on our next adventure? On July 4th, we take today to recognize that this sacred land has been home to Indigenous peoples since time immemorial. As we reflect on our country and the ongoing journey towards true freedom, here are some ways to stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities: - Visit native-land.ca to learn about the Indigenous peoples who have cared for this land long before colonization - Eliminate harmful stereotypes and erasure from your vocabulary. Words have power. - Support Indigenous efforts to protect their land from destructive practices, particularly by empowering the Land Back movement. Throughout our country's history, we have made countless mistakes, and the need for change is greater than ever. We have the privilege, and a duty, to reshape the narrative and educate ourselves to take meaningful action.

Our women's Capitol Reef Backpacking trip was a transformative experience. Our incredible & talented photographer, Savannah, says it best: "Where exactly does a “ladies backpacking trip” begin? What exactly do they talk about, what must they do? Surely they must talk about men and painting nails, or interior decorating and maybe their favorite dresses to wear amongst the summer heat? Or the food they eat on their periods or the sad girl Taylor Swift album they played on repeat during a break up. God, if only a fly on the wall heard all we discussed on this trip. Maybe some interior decorating or a favorite hiking skort (thankfully now back in fashion) but often it consisted of life’s truest and deepest joys, aches, pains, laughable moments, something in there about poops (or lack there of while on trail) and the love we all share for being outside. It begins truly when we allow ourselves to strip the stigmas at the van door. And as we hiked miles and miles the things we discussed were ALL of that and more. Because at the end of the day, we're women doing a backpacking trip. But really we’re simply human beings going from point A to point B with all we need carried on our shoulders and hips alongside the very incredible company we kept."

Teton Pass (WY 22), a steep mountain road which connects Victor, ID, to Wilson/Jackson, WY, is closed indefinitely due to a massive landslide. Here's what this means for clients and tours. - There is no effect on your clients flying into Jackson Hole Airport or staying in Jackson Hole lodging. Good Trip tours are still running as scheduled. -The rest of Grand Teton National Park remains open. Visitors can still travel between Grand Teton and Yellowstone without issues and will not need to use the affected road. - This closure will mainly impact the local workforce, particularly service workers and guides, who live in Victor and commute to Jackson to work at hotels, restaurants, etc. Due to the closure, their workday commute to and from Jackson will nearly triple. An alternative route is available via HWY 26 and US 89 through Alpine, Wyoming, via the Snake River Canyon. We kindly request folks are kind and patient this summer, heading into an already busy season. These workers often have 12-hour workdays and will now face significant additional travel time. #GrandTetonUpdate #tetonpass #roadclosure #travelupdate #TravelInfo #SupportLocalWorkers #JacksonHole #guidedadventure #guidedtrip #outdoorguide #outdoortrip #travelagent #traveladvisor #travelgram #luxuryhotels #tourism #wheretonext

⭐ Review Spotlight! 🌟 When we say Good Trip Adventures guides are the best in the business, this is what we mean: "The day began early, as we met Colin outside the West entrance. 11 minutes into the tour, I had already learned more about the science behind Yellowstone than I thought was possible. It doesn’t hurt that Colin has a degree in Land Conservation Management (or something along those lines). This man was telling us about volcanic eruptions and the corresponding ash from MILLIONS of years ago as if he had watched these events unfold firsthand on the back of a Brontosaurus. His incredible insight on the living organisms within the park, all the way down to those that turn the hot springs different colors, was incredibly interesting. It made for a great day of driving around such a large park. We stopped at a few places like Mammoth Hot springs and the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. We didn’t need to see the WHOLE park, as we had already explored some on our own. I’m also not sure how Colin was able to summon a mother Grizzly and 3 cubs out by the road so we could see them, but I sure did appreciate it. If you are on the fence about taking a Yellowstone tour with Good Trip, hopefully this review pushes you off the fence and into Colin’s van. Overall, a 10/10 experience. Would recommend to anyone. Ask for Colin, although he may be back country skiing or climbing Grand Teton or feeding a baby moose that day. Honestly, the best tour I’ve ever taken."

What does a private guided trip to Yellowstone include? An abundance of wildlife viewing, epic photo opportunies, premium food, and quality family time together! One of our guests, Erin, recently shared: "Spent a couple days in a volcano. On Thursday, thanks to Kevin from Good Trip Adventures we had a great private tour taking in wildlife and waterfalls. And then on Friday, we spent the day exploring the geysers. Wildlife spotted: a black wolf, two grizzlies, antelope, elk, mountain goat, big horn sheep, and of course….buffalo, buffalo, buffalo. On the way out today, we stopped in Cooke City for the best cinnamon roll ever. We have met the nicest coolest people and ate some of the best food ever. It’s truly been an amazing trip. More than anything, as a family we have just enjoyed being together" We absolutely enjoy hearing about how our past clients' once in a lifetime experiences, and want to help your clients create more core memories like the Rees family.
