Summer road work hitting new heights! Our Graniterock pavement recycling team is bringing double the power to South Lake Tahoe with our 12-foot profiler and reclaimer working in tandem. We're transforming old roads into smooth, sustainable surfaces from mountain peaks to valley floors.

Recycling is key to a sustainable future. Our construction team recycles existing pavement and puts it back down as new asphalt, and the environmental benefits really add up from fewer trucks on the road and less waste taken to the landfill!

One of my favorite things we do at Graniterock is something we call Culture Day and I am lucky enough to have officially taken over as the host this past year. Whether you are a new hire or an Intern, you get to participate in this day. Culture Days are special because we dedicate a whole day to learning everything about Graniterock through activities, fun videos and presentations from different departments! There are multiple things that make this day special, but two of my favorites are the beginning and the end of the day. To kick off our day, we sit down and have breakfast with our President & CEO. Then to end the day, we get to visit the heart of our company, the A.R. Wilson Quarry located in Aromas. Please enjoy this awesome photo from yesterday's Intern Culture Day of the group on the Krupp in the pit of our A.R. Wilson Quarry in Aromas!

The bedrock of our region! Where do materials for our roads, bridges and buildings come from? Graniterock gives tours at the Wilson Quarry in Aromas to uncover the critical role of local aggregate sources in building the region’s infrastructure. From the ground up, Graniterock is committed to providing sustainable, locally-sourced materials to keep our community moving forward.

This was an incredible moment in Graniterock's history. In 1992, we won the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award, which was presented to our late president Bruce W. Woolpert by President George H.W. Bush in Washington, D.C. for our approach to continuing improvement.

When you throw something away, it ends up here! A major off haul is underway as Graniterock crews build a new landfill cell in Marina. All that dirt is making way for increased landfill capacity to handle community waste.
