Slam dunk. No brainer. Graniterock turned reclaimed quarry land into a solar farm—a true two-for-one! Not only are we implementing best practices in mining reclamation, but we're also taking energy use off the grid as more than half of the quarry’s power comes from solar.

Who's hooting for conservation? We are! 🦉 Graniterock is giving a big high-five to our feathered friends by installing cozy barn owl nesting boxes on our San Benito County property. We've teamed up with Native Animal Rescue and (CHEER) Coastal Habitat Education and Environmental Restoration to create some prime owl real estate. It's our way of saying "owl be there for you!"

The Bruce W. Woolpert Algebra Academy kicks off its 14th summer math camp Monday morning with our partners Driscolls and Joby Aviation! We are excited to welcome 95 eighth-graders to the math enrichment program this summer. The teens will be immersed in high level math instruction from Cal State Monterey Bay professors Dr. Hongde Hu and Dr. Steven Kim along with instructor Noah Doss and UC Santa Cruz instructor Justin Lake. For us, this is the best part of summer! https://lnkd.in/g4S2Hgr8

Hunter Road in Salinas gets some FDR action! Full depth reclamation pulverizes the existing pavement and mixes it with cement right on-site, creating a strong new base layer. It's faster, cheaper and reduces landfill waste compared to traditional methods. Plus, it means fewer truck trips, which lowers the project’s carbon footprint. Smoother roads are coming your way, Salinas!
