60 Years of Job Corps! 🎉 Last week, the South Bronx Job Corps Academy held a celebration for Job Corps 60-year anniversary. Job corps is the largest and longest-running residential career training program in the United States. Since its beginning in 1964, it has transformed the lives of over two million young people by equipping them with the academic and vocational skills necessary for meaningful and lasting employment. This program offers career technical skills training in 7 high-growth industries at the South Bronx location, from healthcare to Information Technology, ensuring that young people are prepared to thrive in the nation's fastest-growing sectors. The program’s comprehensive support, including high school completion, career transition assistance, and even housing and healthcare, empowers students to achieve success. We are honored to be part of this incredible program. Here's to 60 years of making a difference and many more to come! 🚀 Special shoutout to the talented students who shared their photos from the event: Marcos Maldanado, Jibril Stanford, and Supreme King. #JobCorps60 #JobCorps #WorkforceDevelopment #EmpoweringYouth #NYCYouth #Impact #CareerTraining #Community

We're proud to operate and support NEW YORK CITY PUBLIC SCHOOLS incredible Industry Scholars Program! It is thanks to companies like UnitedHealthcare that the program is able to provide life-changing opportunities to #NYCYouth!
In our NYC office, we recently hosted four high school interns for the first time. Grant Associates' Industry Scholars Program provides 11th and 12th graders transformational career-connected learning opportunities with dedicated businesses all over the city in collaboration with the New York City Public Schools. These real-world work experiences help inform these students’ post-secondary and career aspirations, illuminating their pathways to success. I was proud to welcome Fatima Tanveer, Jing Zhou, Diana Nunez and Terrence Corley this summer to intern at UHC. Good luck in your future! It is bright!
