The State of Missouri took steps to becoming safer on Tuesday, July 9, as Governor Parson signed Blair’s Law to increase legal penalties related to celebratory gun fire. The bill signing is the culminating effort to honor Blair Shanahan-Lane who was killed by celebratory gun fire in Kansas City when she was just 11 years old. Thank you to Michele Shanahan DeMoss, Blair’s mother, and Missouri Representative Mark Sharp for their steadfast advocacy in getting this public safety legislation passed.
