About us

The Greater Waco Chamber is a volunteer-driven business organization that serves as an economic development force attracting jobs and investment. The organization opened the first green Chamber building in America on June 6, 2008, to serve as the marketing headquarters for Greater Waco. The building aspires to be the first LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)-certified building in Greater Waco.

    It's time to celebrate our Waco Under 40 honorees! Watch each week as we share one video from each honoree leading up to the celebration in November! Xavier Rosas | Onward Real Estate Team Xavier is a Mart, Texas native and has lived in Waco for 9 years. He is a regular volunteer with Waco Challenger League and No Limitations for over a decade. In addition, Xavier coaches his six-year-old stepson, Cameron, on his soccer team. Xavier has been with Onward Real Estate for three years. He has been able to represent several local businesses and entities such as Champions Barber Academy, Harris Creek Baptist Church, TurnUp Waco, Pics N Gifts, and more. Through the mentorship of his Broker, Brad Harrell, Xavier is currently working to obtain his designation through the CCIM Institute.     Our next Waco Under 40 honoree Mark Benning! Mark began his career at Central National Bank after graduating from Baylor University in 2012. After several promotions and positions within the bank, in 2024, he was promoted to "Captain of the Ship" of the Tower location of Central National Bank on Bosque Blvd. Being an active member of the community has always been important to Mark. He has been involved in Waco Young Professionals, the Heart of Texas Fair and Rodeo, the American Cancer Society, the Hedonia Club of Waco, and is most recently a graduate of the Leadership Waco XL Class.     Our next Waco Under 40 honoree Aranza Torres! Aranza Torres, LMSW, is a first-generation immigrant from Mexico who proudly calls Waco her home. With nine years of social work experience, Aranza began her advocacy journey as a co-founder of the Waco Dream Act Alliance. Her commitment to community wellness is evident through her active involvement with local organizations such as the Hispanic Leaders Network, Waco Immigrants Alliance, United Way of McLennan County, La Puerta, and Habitat for Humanity. Currently, she serves as the Project Director for Student Resources at McLennan Community College, where she manages the Basic Needs Grant.     It's time to celebrate our Waco Under 40 honorees! Watch each week as we share one video from each honoree leading up to the celebration in November! Joel Hudson | Pattillo, Brown, & Hill, LLP First up, Joel Hudson; Joel grew up in the Houston area and put himself through college, graduating with a degree in accounting from Sam Houston State University. In 2017, he moved to Waco with his wife and started a family. His son was born in 2018 and his daughter in 2021. In 2021, he graduated from Leadership Waco class of 37, which helped build his network with several leaders within our community. He has volunteered his time in the community by helping pack lunches for underprivileged children with pack of hope, volunteering to help the Chamber during events, as well as participating in the TRC Campaign.
