A few of our GSA employees volunteered for the second shift at the Samaritan Center, located at 215 North State Street. Did you know that the Samaritan Center needs more than 35 volunteers a day to help meet their guest’s needs? We are proud to be part of a company that supports and encourages volunteering! https://lnkd.in/dmBrf4nM #TeamGSA #SyracuseCPAs #Volunteers

GSA was honored to participate in the YWCA of Syracuse & Onondaga County, Inc.’s 26th Annual Day of Commitment to Eliminate Racism & Promote Diversity. Members of our team started the day with trainings including a workshop exploring the relationship and intersectionality of trauma and health equity and a panel discussion regarding public health and safety with local policymakers. An afternoon celebratory luncheon included a keynote address from Dr. Warren Hilton, President of Onondaga Community College, and recognition of the 2024 Champions of Diversity award winners. We are incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to take part in an event dedicated to promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. “Let us recommit ourselves to the cause of justice, knowing that every small act of kindness brings us one step closer to a more inclusive and equitable society. Together we can, and we will, make a difference.”

The Corporate Transparency Act (signed into law on January 1, 2021) expanded anti-money laundering laws and created new reporting requirements for certain companies doing business in the US. Beginning in 2024, many small businesses are required to report information about their beneficial owners to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) in an effort to create a national database for use by national security and law enforcement agencies to prevent the use of shell companies for criminal activity. Here's what business owners need to know about BOI reporting. https://lnkd.in/ghwR6NQ4
