Today we’re excited to announce the public launch of Guidewheel’s Predictive Maintenance solution, Scout. Scout uses advanced AI to detect the early warning signals of a potential issue, and alerts teams so they can take action before issues cause downtime or failure. Scout can be turned on without any additional hardware, requires no training, and is integrated into the workflows teams are already using in Guidewheel. To get started, visit: guidewheel.com/scout

We had an amazing webinar today, thanks to John Wray, CI Manager at Southern Finishing Company, and Julio Oropeza Fernandez, VP of Operations at Pretium Packaging. John talked about how he and his team use Guidewheel to understand their true capacity, improve productivity, and track machine speed on their finishing lines using pulse counters. Julio shared how his team have used insights from Guidewheel energy data to reduce the number of kilowatt-hours consumed to convert 1 kilogram of resin by 16%. We are grateful to work with people like you who are committed to manufacturing excellence and look forward to our next customer webinar! #ManufacturingExcellence #FactoryOps #ContinuousImprovement

We had all the pleasure of co-hosting brilliant minds like Lauren Dunford’s at our most recent Industrial Policy Roundtable with the World Economic Forum. 🙌 Thank you, Lauren, for your huge contributions to this space! Excited for all our shared opportunities to build together. I have never felt so energized about the potential in this space. Reflecting on the Industrial Policy Roundtable co-hosted by the US Center for Advanced Manufacturing and World Economic Forum last week in Washington, DC, the momentum around manufacturing as the backbone of the economy is undeniable. Policymakers at every level, nonprofits and industry associations, and business leaders across sectors are aligned around the tremendous opportunity we have at this moment. Sharing some of my key takeaways: 1) Reshoring, near-shoring, and friend-shoring are driving a global shifts in the economy, augmented by both remilitarization and decarbonization. 2) With these shifts, there is a clear need to support a full industrial ecosystem. Companies are prioritizing resilient supply chains by deliberately aligning their assets to the new market dynamics. 3) These economic shifts also create a big opportunity to thoughtfully build in decarbonization and digital transformation into the industrial ecosystem from the start. I’m inspired to hear how great people are coming together across sectors to thoughtfully build towards that goal. Thank you to Cynthia Hutchison, Stacey Weismiller, Kiva Allgood, Kyle Winters, Shree Parikh, and Jordan Roskopp Winkels for convening such an exceptional group of leaders, and to Kerry Ebersole Singh Betony Jones Dr. Sarah Gretter Atkinson Bruce Katz Allen Thompson Amy Pechacek Jesse Stoneman Shari Liss Frederick Cartwright Marie Olivares Jonah Myerberg Kevin Self and so many others for the great insights. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of these conversations and get to build side-by-side with all of you.
