Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company was established in December 1979 as a joint venture between GCC member states for the manufacture of fertilisers and petrochemicals. The company's management systems are certified to ISO-9001:2000 quality standard, ISO-14001 environmental standard and the Occupational Health and Safety Management System's OHSAS-18001 standard.
