Halifax Health saw a small decrease in the number of patients with trauma injuries over last year’s Bike Week. In addition, patient admissions which were Bike Week related decreased from 122 to 100 admissions. As Bike Week 2023 drew motorcycle enthusiasts from far and wide to Daytona Beach, Halifax Health witnessed a surge in trauma-related admissions, underlining the importance of safety during this annual event. The FDOT's Ride SMART 2 Daytona campaign, launched in response to the incidents of the previous year, aims to instill a culture of safety among participants and reduce the number of accidents and injuries associated with the event. Halifax Health – Hospice and their BeginAgain Children’s Grief Center are the beneficiary of funds raised at the 2nd Annual Networking Gala that was hosted by House Call MD’s in Orlando on October 7. The team from House Call MD’s presented the check for $8,773 at the Halifax Health – Hospice quarterly advisory board meeting on February 15.
