The 2024 Paralympics are here, and athletes such as blind runners have to rely on a tethered guide to compete. Numerous times, this has ended with guides falling mid-race and taking the runners with them. What if there was a simple solution to change the way these athletes could perform? That's where HapticNav comes in. We did it with Simon Wheatcroft, a blind runner who made history by successfully completing the NYC Marathon with our technology. In 2021, we met with Daniela Velasco, a Paralympic runner, and donated our technology in hopes of showcasing the future of the Paralympics.
