It can be dangerous in the summer heat, with temperatures that feel like triple digits. Below are a few precautions you can take to stay safe and keep cool: Hydrate Regularly - Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Avoid sugary or alcoholic drinks that can dehydrate you. Dress Smart - Wear light-colored, loose-fitting clothing to help your body stay cool. Limit Outdoor Activities - If possible, stay indoors during peak heat hours (10 AM - 4 PM). If you need to be outside, take frequent breaks in the shade. Use Sunscreen - Protect your skin from harmful UV rays with a broad-spectrum sunscreen of at least SPF 30. Know the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke, such as dizziness, nausea, headache, faintness, and muscle cramps. Heat-related illnesses can be fatal if not treated quickly. If you or somebody you know are experiencing the symptoms of heat stroke, seek emergency care right away. https://bit.ly/4bGAmZ5 #HCAFloridaHealthcare #HealthierTomorrows
