Last week, the Health & Fitness Association PAC and Jim Worthington of Newtown Athletic Club hosted a fundraiser for one of the industry’s strongest champions, U.S. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA-01). Also attending as a special guest was U.S. Rep. Jason Smith (R-MO-08), who is chair of the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee, a key legislative body that will consider the PHIT Act and other important industry priorities. During the event, our VP of Government Affairs Mike Goscinski and other industry representatives highlighted the importance of physical activity and the need for Congress to incentivize access to enhance the physical and mental health of all Americans.
