Chiropractor Pay in the Top 20 Metropolitan Areas: As of May 2023, the BLS estimated that the national mean wage for chiropractors was $89,760 per year. There were about 41,500 #chiropractors at work in the U.S. as of May 2023 according to data available from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). While sometimes found working in physician offices, outpatient care centers, and hospitals, nearly 90% of chiropractors work in offices of non-physician healthcare practitioners. With advanced training and technical skills, the average #chiropractor earns more than workers in most occupations. While most chiropractors earn incomes greater than the average annual wages of most workers, there is a very wide disparity from region to region in chiropractors' annual mean wages. Health Services Management Pay in the Top 20 Metro Areas: The BLS estimated that, as of May 2023, the national mean wage for health service managers was $134,440 per year. There were 515,100 #HealthServicesManagement jobs in the U.S. as of May 2023 according to data available from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). Health services managers, ranging from frontline supervisors to chief executives, are integral to maximizing the operational effectiveness of a wide variety of healthcare businesses, including hospitals, outpatient care centers, skilled nursing facilities, physicians' offices, and home healthcare service providers. Because of this key role, health services management positions tend to pay more than most healthcare occupations, excluding certain high-skill clinical occupations in medicine and dentistry. Using AI at Memorial Healthcare in Florida: “We are certainly leading in a lot of respects, but we are also a fast follower,” says Jeffrey Sturman, senior vice president and chief digital information officer of Memorial Healthcare System. The Florida-based health system has been increasingly incorporating AI into its operations over the past few years. Sturman talked about Memorial’s use of AI and some lessons the system has learned in a recent interview with Chief Healthcare Executive... Memorial Healthcare System patients may come in for a chest scan for suspicion of pneumonia, but the system is also using AI to look at a secondary diagnosis that could go relatively unnoticed, he says. Memorial Healthcare has also incorporated AI-powered ambient listening tools into the system, allowing providers to talk with patients without being hunched over a keyboard taking notes. Memorial is using Nuance’s Dragon Ambient eXperience (DAX) Copilot, and Sturman says the system is seeing impressive results. He said the DAX Copilot is proving to be “a game changer. As of May 2023, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) estimated that there were about 172,000 speech-language pathologists (SLPs) working in the United States. SLPs work in a variety of settings, including elementary and secondary schools, offices of non-physician health practitioners, hospitals, home health care agencies, and skilled nursing facilities.
