Thanks for having us on your podcast, Molecules & Electrons, Jonathan Hackett and James Cater. While this podcast usually focuses on energy products, it was great to talk about Helpsy® and Global Partners LP's pilot program in support of the Global for Good program. At about a dozen locations in the Northeast, consumers can responsibly discard unwanted textiles in a Helpsy bin located at a Global LP location and rest assured that those items will be diverted from landfills. A big thank you to Union County for taking the time to visit our Helpsy warehouse and we are grateful for the opportunity to showcase our textile recovery efforts and to engage in meaningful discussions about how we can work together in keeping clothes out of New Jersey’s waste stream. Union County continues to set a great example for New Jersey by prioritizing textile recovery and working towards a greener future. Together, we can make a significant impact on reducing textile waste and promoting environmental responsibility. Thanks to Stuart Newman, CPM Dave Milliner, Karen Bretas and Nicole Pellagrino for bringing this together. We are excited to share some exciting news from our team! Lisa Sciannella will serve on the board of the Association of New Jersey Recyclers (ANJR). The Association of New Jersey Recyclers is a key organization focused on advancing recycling efforts and environmental stewardship in New Jersey. Lisa's participation will allow us to contribute to and learn from some of the leading minds and organizations working towards a greener, more sustainable future. #clothesarenttrash #gardenstate #keepnewjerseyclean
I am thrilled to announce that I will be serving on the board of the Association of New Jersey Recyclers ! In the relatively short time that I have been involved with ANJR, I have been inspried by the dedication of this incredible community to keeping New Jersey clean and promoting sustainable practices. Joining the board is an honor, and I look forward to contributing to the impactful work ANJR does and making a positive difference for our environment and our future! 🌍💚 On a personal note, I love the state of New Jersey not only because of its convenient gas stations 😉 but also because it boasts some of the most beautiful sections of the Appalachian Trail.

We’re excited to announce the expansion of our partnership network with The Again Co. Co! Through this collaboration, we will offer their brands an innovative solution for managing pre-loved products. Together, we'll ensure these items find new homes or are recycled responsibly. We look forward to making an impact together! #SustainableFashion #CircularEconomy #Helpsy #Resale #ApparelIndustry
We’re so happy to welcome Helpsy® to our Partner Program. Helpsy’s mission of keeping clothes out of the trash aligns perfectly with our focus on using resale to keep clothes in use as long as possible. Brands now have another option for dealing with pre-loved products that don't sell through their resale programs, which is to sell them to Helpsy. Helpsy will find the best way to keep those clothes in use or recycle them. We’re looking forward to working with Helpsy on realizing our shared vision for the apparel industry. Welcome!

Thanks to our partners at The Wardrobe, we have recovered over 350,000 lbs of textiles. This is in support of Helpsy’s mission to keep clothes out of the trash and The Wardrobe’s mission of providing a stable source of clothing and minimizing clothing insecurity in the greater Philly area. We’re excited that they have expanded into Kennett Square and Chester County. We extend our gratitude to Reagan Bissonnette and the Northeast Resource Recovery Association (NRRA) for hosting an outstanding conference earlier last month. As one of the oldest and largest cooperative-model recycling nonprofits in the US, NRRA brings together hundreds of municipalities, businesses, and individuals to address sustainability issues and promote recycling activities. We were honored to have our co-founder and CIO, Alex Husted, speak about Textile Reuse and Recycling. Meaningful progress in sustainability requires both collaboration and education, and this conference successfully promoted both efforts. #clothesarenttrash #reducereuserecycle #collaboration #sustainability

Thank you for traveling from Maryland to visit our facility in Eatontown, NJ, and for learning more about our operations and the textile industry. Helpsy believes in transparency and cooperation with municipal teams to improve the used clothing collection industry. We appreciate the opportunity to welcome guests and partners from Baltimore County, Baltimore City, Anne Arundel County, Howard County and the Northeast Maryland Waste Disposal Authority. Alex Husted, Brian Stroh and Barbara Benelli thank you for hosting our guests. #warehousetour #reducereuserecycle #secondhandclothing #clothingcollection #clothesarenttrash

It was insightful to be a part of this project and the conversation around the $1.5 billion opportunity for textile-to-textile recycling. Thank you for bringing this initiative to life in the US and for providing an in-depth look into consumer behavior and the potential for textile recycling in the country. While we focus on reuse and firmly believe that reuse should be the preferred path ahead of recycling, recycling also plays a crucial role in addressing the textile waste problem. A special shout-out to our co-founder, Alex Husted, who had the opportunity to visit Fashion for Good in Amsterdam earlier this year. Many thanks to Fashion for Good, RRS (Resource Recycling Systems), and Marisa Adler for their invaluable contributions. #clothesarenttrash #reducereuserecycle #circularity #fashionforgood #sustainability
