Earlier this week our Water Sewer Advisory Council (WSAC) got out of the board room and toured some of the facilities they often hear about in meetings. 🔎 The WSAC is an advisory board made up elected officials from Hendersonville, Henderson County, Fletcher, Mills River, Laurel Park, Flat Rock and Saluda as well as industry, business, and city and county water customer representatives. 🏛️ Council members toured the Water Treatment Plant with our WTP Facilities Manager Ricky Levi and also got a preview of the French Broad River intake and pump station. 👀 If you are wondering why there are two empty cells in one of the photos showing the treatment basins...those will be the location of the new filters to expand the plant's daily treatment capacity! 🏢 🚜 We appreciate the interest our WSAC members have in continuing to develop and expand a top-notch water and sewer utility system that has been serving the community for more than 100 years. 💧
