The President of High Hotels, David Aungst, shared his personal career journey and our Area Director of Revenue Management, Kara Corradino, introduced the class to basic principles in revenue management and revenue strategy. At High Hotels we believe the ‘Spirit of Hospitality’ extends far beyond the walls of our hotels and into our communities, so our incredible team at SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Mt Laurel, NJ chose to create Welcome Bags for the children and families at the Children’s Specialized Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. Our team members collected and donated essential supplies for those at the hospital who arrive with little to no preparation, as part of our Coworker Engagement Committee’s monthly focus. These Welcome Bags were distributed by our coworkers and members of the Marriott New Jersey Business Council. We had the honor of celebrating the Grand Reopening of the Hampton Inn & Suites York South and the Home2 Suites by Hilton York to mark the complete interior and exterior renovation and stunning redesign of both hotels. We were delighted to have Casey Nixon, Manager, Membership and Events, York County Economic Alliance and Vaughn Crouse, Community Engagement Coordinator, Explore York join us along with Senator Kristin Phillips-Hill, President Commissioner Julie Dietz Wheeler, Commissioner Doug Hoke, and, Vice President Commissioner J Scott Burford alongside Marci Paniagua, Area General Manager and Wendy Vance, Director of Sales, for the official ribbon cutting ceremony. Attendees enjoyed a cocktail reception, entertainment, and tours of both hotels. In addition to celebrating the reopening, we were proud to present a $1,000 donation to Steven Martinez, Executive Director York County SPCA, as part of our ongoing commitment to giving back to our communities This donation reflects our company's values and our belief in the importance of supporting local initiatives. The extensive renovation of both properties spans the guestrooms and suites, lobby area, breakfast area, hallways, indoor pool, fitness room, and the outdoor grill and patio space. Both hotels now feature stylish new furnishings and a fresh décor with modern design elements and the latest innovations and amenities. Special recognition goes out to our dedicated hotel team members, whose hard work and enthusiasm have been instrumental in bringing this project to fruition.
