Yesterday, the Holland team filled the Red Jacket Club at Busch Stadium for our annual St. Louis Cardinals game! It was fun having everyone in one place and catching up with team members we don't get to see on a daily basis. Thanks to our partners at FGM Architects for this great perspective. The Caseyville Elementary & Caseyville Library projects are so important to the community. We are so glad to be a part of it!
The story behind the new Caseyville Elementary School and Caseyville Public Library project represents a significant milestone in our long-standing partnership with Collinsville CUSD 10. Partnership with Caseyville Public Library gave the District the opportunity to grow in space. The design and phased construction allowed the District to build the new facility directly adjacent to the existing school while school was in session, ensuring that operations could continue without interruption. In some areas, mere feet separated the prior buildings from the new! Once the new school and library were ready for students, the old buildings were demolished, clearing the way for a new playground, green space and a more organized pick-up and drop-off traffic flow. Caseyville Public Library's adjacency to the school serves both students and community members, reflecting the community's strong and dedicated spirit. We are honored to continue our work with Collinsville CUSD 10, a partnership that began in 2006 and has included health life safety projects, renovations, additions and new construction. The new 48,264 SF Venice Elementary will contain K-8 classrooms, library, competition gymnasium, and a storm shelter. The school is being designed & constructed to achieve LEED Silver certification, which is a recognition for buildings that meet high sustainability standards and environmental performance. The highly anticipated O'Fallon Pool and Gym project is coming to life! The community park will be upgraded to include new lap pool, leisure pool, large waterslides, a sizable bathhouse, and administrative offices. A multi-purpose gym is also being built and will provide an indoor space for the community to use for athletics and events. We are proud to announce that the MidAmerica St. Louis Airport (BLV) Terminal Expansion Project has been selected as a finalist for the AGC of Missouri Keystone Award in the General Contractor/Construction Manager/Prime Contractor - Building Construction - $10 - $30 Million Category! The Holland team truly invested themselves in this project to ensure its success, and we are so excited to see their hard work recognized. ICYMI We have announced the Finalists for the 2024 Construction Keystone Awards! A panel of five judges selected these outstanding projects as finalists based on strict criteria and will continue their review of additional data provided by the finalists in order to determine the winning project in each category. The submissions span 11 categories focused on the work of AGCMO’s general contractor and specialty contractor members. A majority of the projects are competing in the Mid-America Class covering projects built in Missouri plus eight contiguous states. Three large projects are competing in the National Class, covering the lower 48 states outside of the Mid-America Class territory. All entries were made by AGCMO members across Missouri. Winners of the 26th Annual Keystone Awards will be announced and celebrated at AGCMO’s Construction Awards Gala scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 7 at the River City Casino & Hotel in St. Louis. Specialty contractors also will be honored in various categories and the Specialty Contractor of the Year also will be announced.
