HOPICS is proud to have been part of the effort that helped almost 28,000 LA county residents find a home. Today, the 2023 #Homeless Count Numbers dropped. The data of our impact speaks for itself. Now imagine what we could do if we had sustained resources. Homelessness in LA would be a thing of the past. Let's pass #MeasureA which is officially on the November ballot. Measure A is the Affordable Housing, Homelessness Solutions and Prevention Now measure. Time to celebrate our successes, learn from the roadblocks, and get to work. About us
HOPICS stands for Homeless Outreach Program, Integrated Care System. We are a Division of Special Services for Groups. We are committed to serving the Community in Service Planning Area 6 (SPA 6) in Los Angeles County (including Lynwood, Paramount and Compton). We are one of the largest housing and homeless service agencies in Los Angeles County and the largest in SPA 6. We offer a range of services from not only housing, but behavioral health, reentry services, harm reduction and more. We serve poor and low-income households with a client-centered 'whatever it takes' approach. This approach is why we are recognized leaders in direct service and advocacy for those experiencing homelessness and housing instability in Los Angeles County.

How Listening To Music Benefits Your Brain https://buff.ly/2nwOEcB Research shows that listening to music can: 🎵 reduce anxiety, depression, blood pressure, and pain; 🎹 improve sleep quality, mood, memory; 🎧 increase some cognitive functions; 🎶 enhance learning and concentration; and 🧠 ward off the effects of brain aging. Music is so good for your brain because it is one of the few activities that stimulates your whole brain. Because music is structural, mathematical, and architectural based on relationships between one note and the next, it’s a total brain workout. #music #tunes #listening #mentalhealth #brain #brainhealth #depression #anxiety #stress #health #memory #learning #aging #Thursdaymorning #Thursdaythoughts
