📢 HORSE Powertrain – Accelerating cleaner mobility.  Today marks the unveiling of HORSE Powertrain Limited, a joint venture consolidating the divisions HORSE (from Renault Group) and #Aurobay (Aurobay China and Aurobay Sweden from GEELY), to make a significant global-scale contribution to the decarbonisation of mobility and transport.  We believe decarbonisation calls for multiple technical solutions, including efficient, competitive, high-performance, low emissions internal combustion & hybrid powertrain and transmission systems. Today is a great day for the #automotive industry as we take a big further step towards the goal of cleaner mobility and a better world. A lot has happened across companies and OEMs themselves to focus on the acceleration of production of Electric Vehicles, but much less has been done or talked recently about the >60% of vehicles that will still have some sort of Internal Combustion Engines by 2030 and much beyond.  I keep thinking that there is an opportunity for these vehicles to have as big as a contribution as the EVs themselves.    I am particularly proud today to announce the official launch of HORSE Powertrain Limited, a joint venture consolidating the divisions HORSE from Renault Group and #Aurobay (Aurobay China & Aurobay Sweden) from GEELY, creating this incredible, innovative and one of the kind company with the capability, know-how and expertise to develop ultra-low emission internal combustion engines (#ICE), and #hybrid technologies. To meet our industry’s future net zero aspirations, we are convinced that a combination of various powertrain technologies is necessary.
