In preparation for the new school year, Host partnered with Playtime Project to help ensure that kids facing housing insecurity in the Washington, D.C. area are set up for academic success. From pencils to paper to binders to calculators, we donated and personally delivered enough school supplies to fill 235 backpacks, in addition to giving financial support to go toward the purchase of new backpacks for local kids in need. Together, we're empowering young students by equipping them with the tools they need to succeed, and we are proud to make a difference, one backpack at a time. #LetsDoSomethingEPIC https://lnkd.in/gxdVhf2G

Governance is where aspiration meets action. Our net positive vision is only as good as our resolve to achieve it—and that's where strong governance comes in. It's about bringing the same level of strategic oversight, rigor and management to corporate responsibility risks as we do to our financial and business risks. At Host, integrity and transparency are core to our values. Our 2024 Corporate Responsibility Report highlights our strong governance practices, including our commitment to integrating ESG considerations into our business and our comprehensive risk management strategies. See how we are dedicated to ethical leadership and corporate governance excellence through our top-down, "all hands on deck" approach. #Governance #CorporateResponsibility #CRreport #HostESG https://lnkd.in/estN9rGJ

Who we are impacts what we create. We invest in our people because who we are is everything. It impacts how we see the world, the decisions we make, and the value we create. And we invest in communities to preserve and strengthen diverse local histories, support vibrant local cultures and empower thriving local economies. Last year, we supported over 200 nonprofits, organized seven volunteer events supporting underserved and at-risk local communities and achieved an 88% engagement score on our employee engagement survey. Additionally, of our employee promotions, 60% were women and one-third were from historically underrepresented groups. Read our 2024 Corporate Responsibility Report to learn more about our efforts to be a catalyst for positive social impact and support the advancement and well-being of our employees and communities. #SocialResponsibility #DEIB #CorporateResposibility #CRreport #HostESG https://lnkd.in/estN9rGJ

We own hotels and resorts in the most stunning, iconic and irreplaceable destinations across America—in places that we all know and love, and that form our portfolio's unique identity. As an owner, it's our job to help protect and enhance these extraordinary locations—for our investors and for all of us, for generations to come. At Host, we are committed to helping create a greener future by reducing our environmental footprint and investing in the resiliency of our portfolio. Host Hotels & Resorts reported results for the second quarter of 2024 and announced acquisitions of the 1 Hotel Central Park and The Ritz-Carlton O’ahu, Turtle Bay, further enhancing our best-in-class portfolio and diversifying our presence in New York City and Hawaii. Q2 RESULTS AND FULL-YEAR GUIDANCE   We delivered comparable hotel total RevPAR growth of 0.5% over the second quarter of 2023. Group was a bright spot at approximately 8% room revenue growth versus the same time last year, driven by rate growth alongside demand growth. Comparable hotel RevPAR was up 0.1% due to a slower-than-anticipated recovery in Maui and the current shift in leisure demand to international destinations. We reduced our full year guidance range as a result of a slower-than-anticipated recovery from the wildfires in Maui and moderating domestic leisure transient demand, which is primarily driven by elevated international U.S. outbound travel relative to historic levels without a corresponding increase in international inbound travel. ACQUISITIONS OF 1 HOTEL CENTRAL PARK AND THE RITZ-CARLTON O'AHU, TURTLE BAY We acquired the 234-room, LEED Certified® 1 Hotel Central Park, which is expected to rank among our top 10 assets; and the 450-room The Ritz-Carlton O’ahu, Turtle Bay, located on 1,180 acres on the North Shore of O’ahu. CONFERENCE CALL We will hold our investor call today at 10:00 a.m. ET and look forward to discussing our results, our business outlook for the remainder of the year and the acquisitions in additional detail. We invite you to listen to the webcast or view the replay by visiting Host's Investor Relations page (https://lnkd.in/euvYVXxM). It’s always an exciting day when our Littles come to the office. It is so rewarding seeing the relationships that have developed between our employees and their Little Brothers and Little Sisters as part of our partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the National Capital Area. We are the first company in Montgomery County to set up this program with BBBSNCA and Montgomery County Public Schools and the only company participating in the program for four years.
